Appearance

Elbatt, unlike most citizens of Tadath, has dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. This would make him stick out on his home planet, but not on his ship where he fits in with people from all over the galaxy. Elbatt is taller than the average person, but not heavier. He likes to keep his hair short, and his face cleanly shaven. His appearance could be considered handsome, and this sometimes gets him unwanted attention.

Personality

Elbatt is very resourceful and quick minded. He has the ability to think outside the box, and give a clever perspective to whoever needs it. Though, not as knowledgeable as his captain, he has the intelligence and drive to outwit anyone. Though, he has little patience and often wants to jump into things, quite the opposite of his captain. Elbatt is casual, and perhaps a bit to casual, but this helps him with the crew.

History

Elbatt was born on Tadath, but his parents were from the Outer Rim, being moved into Vast Empire territory because of jobs. His parents worked in one of the many factories on Tadath, but they lived their lives in poverty. Out of necessity, Elbatt soon learned how to survive in the slums. He and other children roamed the city, begging for money and food and playing games. When he was fourteen, he was forced to get a job in a factory, but then, his life changed. One of the Admirals of the Vast Empire was touring the slums of Tadath, disgusted at the poverty. By luck and chance, he came across Elbatt. When Elbatt explained his situation, the Admiral was appalled and wanted to take him in and give him an education. His parents, wanting the best for their child, reluctantly agreed. He was taken on the Admiral's ship where he was tutored. He learned how to read and write, how to do arithmetic, and learned history. Elbatt proved quite intelligent and caught onto his academics quickly. He also learned much about the ship's workings, and he wanted to join the Navy as soon as he could. His dream came true when he turned 18.

The Admiral, as a birthday gift, sent him to the academy, and he's been with the Vast Empire ever since.
