The Low Altitude Assault Transport/infantry (LAAT/i) Mk.II is the Imperial take on the class workhorse of the Clone Wars. While still easily found in service over much of the galaxy, the original LAAT design did not allow for extra-atmospheric travel, nor was it easily upgraded to the most modern electrical and defensive countermeasures available.

Description[edit]
The Mk.II LAAT utilized the original framework of the Rothana design, replacing the bubble canopy with the more enclosed and angular "Seinar Snout" found in most Imperial shuttle and utility craft. The transport area can be entirely sealed, allowing for passengers to be protected from vacuum and deadly atmospheric environments.
