Overview[edit]

As a Taskforce Commander (TFC) you’ve got a lot of responsibility and a lot of people reporting to you. It can sometimes be a challenge to get everything organized into an effective report, but it is vital that you do so. Taskforce Commanders’ reports are among the most crucial in the Navy. You will need to send the report to your Fleet Commander and will need to post it in the Fleet Reports topic in the Commanders' Comnet. You’ll be putting together two distinct types of reports: squadron reports from the squadrons under your command and individual reports, especially from your small ship SCAPs. Due to this your report will be a mixture of newly combined data and Copy/Pasted data from others’ reports (Click the Quote button and copy it from there.). Don’t forget to add your own comments and report as well.

It is important to remember that you still need to respond to any questions, concerns, or issues brought to you by your people. As a Taskforce Commander you should be able to handle most questions, concerns, and problems, since the only people above you are your Fleet Commander, the Chief of Naval Operations, and the Naval Commander in Chief. So be ready to message your people with answers to questions and solutions to problems. Communicate!

There are two sections below. The first is the template itself. The second is an example of a report to use as a guide if you get confused.

Template[edit]

"The template, I'm afraid, is that there is no true template. Taskforces are big enough to be very fluid in their makeup, so any current structure I set down likely wouldn’t be accurate enough for a TFC to use in a month- much less for a different taskforce years from now. Instead, I have but guidelines I can give you for organization. If you've reached this point, however, I'm confident you can do a good job with this."
