Shuttle Piloting Training[edit]

Trainees will spend several weeks learning the basics of piloting shuttles, specifically the lambda class and LAAT. Most soldiers will have had some experience of flying, but transporting soldiers through an active combat zone if a very different experience. The LAAT is notoriously difficult to fly effectively, trainees will not be expected to show the aptitude of a full time pilot but should be capable when required.

Activity Requirements[edit]

Level 0

Training Regime/Story Requirements[edit]

Training will consist of hands on training as well as work in a simulator for combat experience. For the final test trainees will be examined in a simulator and must write a story of no less than 1000 words on one of the following topics:

  • Piloting a shuttle of troopers from a VSD to a target location under fire
  • Flying an LAAT of soldiers across a warzone to a specific location

Let me be clear - I hate training troopers, any one of my naval recruits has more brain power in a single toenail than I see arrayed before me today. So try not to annoy me too much and keep stupid questions to a minimum. So which one of you ham-fisted jarheads wants to come and smash my simulator into submission first?
