Commanding Arkanian Militia in Adascopolis
Bio[edit]
Personality[edit]
Arka Afol is a soldier's commander, a man who proved his mettle in dozens of small-conflict skirmishes on Arkania, in the boots of a combat trooper to leading his own squad and platoon all the way up to Executive officer of the Adascopolis Militia. His patriotism is never in doubt and he stands strong for his city and his planet. He's cool under pressure, but worries privately about the training and drive of some of his subordinates, who he sees as just joining the militia as a chance for political enhancement.
He loves the foot soldier, however, and tries his hardest to secure good living conditions for the men who would help protect his planet.
History[edit]
Born into the upper strata of Arkanian society, he was wealthy and lived a secure life. A model student in Law, History and Politics, he also joined the local ROTC. From then on, he seemed destined for the Arkanian militia, the only real military institution on the planet.
He struggled through the basic training, and was assigned to Adascopolis as a Militiaman private. He served for 3 years as a grunt, helping put down riots and civil unrest when the Governor called upon them. His clean record and enthusiasm earned him the attention of his lieutenant, who saw fit to promote him to a Sergeant.
Leading a squad was an exhilarating opportunity for Afol. His men liked him, as he was a fair and charismatic leader, tough when he needed to. During the civil unrest the governor would call on the Militia, he tried to avoid bloodshed. After all, these were his people. The lieutenant that had helped him into a SL role carried him further, dragging him into the Officer Academy.
His scores were the highest in twenty years, and he was extremely popular with the Governor and many of his top militia commanders. At the tender age of 30, he became Captain and third-in-command of the Adascopolis Militia under the lieutenant that had always been his commander and a Clone Wars Veteran.
Eight years later, the veteran retired and the positions moved up. His long-time commander made General and he was promoted to Major.
