The Dead Gun is a Victory-Class Star Destroyer that is in service with the Vast Imperial Navy's Second Fleet.

Overview

The Dead Gun is the flagship of Task Force Aurek, within the Vast Empire's Second Naval Fleet. Commanded by 1st Lieutenant Dracule 'Drac' Mihawk, this craft is home to the 58th Imperial Fighter Wing. It is also traditionally the personal ship of the Chief of Naval Warfare.

History

The Dead Gun was commissioned sometime in the year of 19BBY. This starship has known many commanders, each of which has exemplary fulfilled the duties asked of each of them. Unfortunately, in a wild turn of events each and every previous commander of this ship has died in service - though their deaths were not in vain. Line Captain Jaden Khaar was the first Captain to leave her still living, though even he did not leave as he might have liked. Now under the command of First Lieutenant Drac, the ship is currently stationed in the Vast Imperial Navy's Second Fleet. In the aftermath of the assassination incident on Cappadocious Station, it is playing a key role in the Vast Empire's military response.

In the aftermath of the initial battle of the campaign, the Battle Of Epsilon, the Dead Gun reformed the 2nd Fleet around itself above Abrae. After Regents Squadron infiltrated the shipyards above the planet Belgaroth, which lent the Belgaroth System its name, Drac led 2nd Fleet in an assault on the shipyards and their New Republic defenders. This Battle of Belgaroth was initiated to recapture the system after the New Republic took it from the Imperial Remnant. It is rumored that Drac and the rest of the Naval High Command have plans for the system, but these cannot be confirmed.
