Early Life[edit]
Donovan knew nothing of the military other than what he saw on the holonet, but he loved what he saw and as a child he was determined to join the army against his father’s wishes. He practiced with old hunting rifles out in the back yard and since that was all they had, he had become a very good shot. He liked to think of himself as the Luke Skywalker of the empire. He could hit within range on his rifle and was aching to get his hands on a newer, better rifle. When he reached the proper age of 18, he packed all his possessions in a single suit case, left a letter and all his savings that he had left over to his family and then booked a trip to Tadath’s famous training academy. He took his time getting through the academy, wanting to learn everything there was. Knowing less than everyone else seemed to fuel his fire to learn quickly. The officers in the training facility quickly realized Donovan’s skill with the sniper rifle, and Donovan would spend nearly every day in the shooting range trying out different weapons before every class. He had recently graduated from the academy and placed in Crater squad, and the trip to Akrania would only be his second mission as an active trooper.
Character[edit]
Donovan is a determined, bright young man, he enjoys the company of people and most of all he loves his rifles, and most people would describe it as an obsession. He has a very cheerful mood and it seems to rub off on whoever is around him, and because of that he always had a group of friends around in the academy. He had a hint of arrogance when it came down to a shooting competition, he never turned down a challenge and in the academy he was undefeated in any shooting competition. His only flaw was that he had no idea how to use a blaster in close range, which usually left him alone on a high perch waiting for his targets.
