Welcome to Enemy Capital Ship Basics. This tutorial is designed to introduce you to the various enemies you may encounter while serving in Fleet Command in the Vast Empire's Navy. Due to the time period, our main enemy is the New Republic, however it's not uncommon for us to battle pirate warlords or even other Imperial factions.

Common New Republic Capital Ships[edit]

MC80 Starcruiser[edit]

If Imperial Super Star Destroyers are the muscle for the Imperial Fleet, this ship is the muscle for the New Republic. Though not as big as a Super Star Destroyers, these MC80s should not be underestimated. They act as offensive ships, and like Super Star Destroyers, they are almost always flagships of a fleet. The most notable MC80 is a ship named Home One.

MC90 Starcruiser[edit]

Like the aforementioned MC80, these ships are the bigger, newer muscle for the New Republic. The ship's design focuses heavily on armament and large hangars to become an unstoppable offensive machine. They were made to challenge Imperial Star Destroyers and to be a force not to reckon with.

Assault Frigate[edit]

Assault Frigates were oddly shaped ships, but they acted as the generic frigate for the New Republic.

Other Common New Republic Capital Ships[edit]

Captured Imperial vessels - everything from gunships and corvettes to star destroyers and star dreadnaughts

Pirates and Other Non-Affiliated Factions[edit]

Aside from from the New Republic and other Imperial splinter factions, the galaxy is host to a number of pirate or mini-factions that have arisen in the waning days of the Galactic Empire. From smugglers to pirate warlords, to independant plantetary bodies, there is never a shortage of people who are willing to fight you, either out of principle or just because they can.

These factions could use a variety of vessels, but usually they will employ whatever comes cheap. Expect to see outdated or poorly-maintained craft, but do not be surprised by the occasional top-of-the-line warship in competent criminal hands.

Imperial Remnant[edit]

The Imperial Remnant, like the Vast Empire, became a small Imperial faction after the Battle of Endor. They are mainly equipped with the same ships as the Vast Empire.
