Biography[edit]
Appearance[edit]
Of medium height and build, almost skinny but not unhealthily so. Pale hair and pale skin with white eyes make for an other-wordly appearance, often disconcerting to others, prompting the use of goggles (also due to inherent weakness in eyes)
Personality[edit]
Wintrose was a calm individual on the surface, at times seeming almost robotic. Deep down, however, he was truly caring – he cared for all life and while he loathed warfare, he would rather have been working for someone and making a difference than sitting it out and letting people die. He often acted as a moral compass to many around him, being a father-like figure to a lot of the people he made contact with. There was rarely a bad word said about Wintrose, aside from making fun of him in good humor.
History[edit]
Tiberius was an odd character in any way you looked at the picture he was in; as a boy on Arkania, Tiberius was never for the standard Arkanian genetic manipulation that had been practiced for eras upon eras and while he – like many other Arkanians – excelled in medical sciences as a young student, he never found a love for the experiments that many around him – including his parents – practiced. Instead, he professed a deeper love for sentient species and while highly intelligent, was outspoken in his beliefs and soon enough earned a banishment from his homeworld when he openly attacked AdasCorp in a speech he made to university students at the time. He was disgraced and the Empire would not hire him – what use had they for a disgraced non-human scientist? Initially this turned him away from the prospect of joining the empire and toward the prospect of joining the New Republic. However, given the reputation of his people and indeed the lies that were espoused by renowned and respected Arkanian political figures about him, the New Republic too shunned him on the basis that he was immoral.
Wintrose was forced to adapt; he went from wanting to practice in an upmarket surgery, in a clinic of wealth and standing, to desiring only to help people who like himself were outcasts. Initially he did this on impoverished worlds like Tatooine, attending to slaves and those stricken with poverty, charging only those who could pay. He worked at a number of such worlds where the economic disparity was painfully clear, the gap between rich and poor obvious and gaping. While he was doing his work charitably, Wintrose still had bills he needed to pay to be able to practice. Soon enough he was forced into less than reputable clinics that serviced not only the underdogs and the poor, but the criminals as well. He went from Tattooine to Corellia, Corellia to Coruscant, Coruscant to Nal Hutta and subsequently Nar Shaddaa. Anywhere that was home to underworld medical facilities was likely somewhere Tiberius would be found – he was even rumoured to have been on Taris at one point. It was at one such disreputable place that harsh clients gave him the name ‘Iceman’ both for his pale complexion and his detached but polite demeanour.
He grew tired of the disreputable trade when he was offered a position as a medical officer at Kessel. There he treated prisoners who had been tortured or exposed to prolonged darkness in the spice mines, ensuring the health of everyone he could there. He was often laughed at by the warden and his guards for helping them as they knew that no-one was getting out of here, so it should have made no difference whether they lived or died in their opinion. Despite his outward detachment, inwardly Wintrose was a very caring individual. He met Hades while there and the young prisoner, still foolish and brave, gave Wintrose hope. When he was told the Empire was collapsing and Hades was leaving for the remnant faction known as the Vast Empire, Wintrose was quick to follow. This Vast Empire seemed to espouse everything Wintrose stood for, so he eagerly signed up for the Navy’s Medical corps. After being certified as a Naval Doctor, Wintrose went from one posting to the next, even serving a short tenure as a Medical Officer aboard the ‘’Atrus’’. From there, he received a transmission – Hades was assembling a crew and he had tracked down Wintrose, desiring Wintrose to be among his crew. Not only that, but he wanted Wintrose to be his Chief Medical Officer. Unlike most, Hades knew that Wintrose was an excellent Doctor and that he was qualified for far more than a lot of the more reputable individuals..
