Intent[edit]

The information presented in the following pages has been compiled and/or created for a simple purpose: detail saturation. The VENA first set out to provide new recruits with a basic idea of what a pilot would be armed with if thrown into the VEN, but that soon begged the question: what about veterans? Certainly they seek information as well. Both the new recruit and writer are inevitably interested in this information for one reason though: knowledge translates into details, which makes good writing.

However, it should be noted that this type of centralized database has also allowed us to make certain aspects of "general knowledge" more uniform. For instance, our pages can tell you that the tracer beams on TIE fighters are green as opposed to the commonly mistaken crimson. Not only is that the official truth, but we like for people to know that across the board *wink*. If you find that certain questions haven't been answered by our pages, we encourage you to notify our VENA Staff.

Remember this though: we have not assembled this collection of articles so that members will be expected to be well versed in them, but so that members know that they have a place to find answers, if not contribute their own knowledge. So, we encourage you to use these resources creatively; don't be afraid to abandon some of the technicalities or bend them to your needs. Enjoy.
