Introduction[edit]

As the Aviator's Exam moved you from Basic Training to Active duty, so to do the following test improve your position, rank and overall status. The only test you can take immediately following the Aviator's Exam, should you have acquired the proper rank already, is the Senior Aviator's Exam. That test makes you eligible to become a Flight Leader, a position on the roster for a squadron giving you control of three other people. Once you've taken the Senior Aviator's Exam, you take the real test- the Master Aviator's Exam. Once you have taken and passed this test- everything changes. You are no longer just a pilot- its like you've just graduated high school and you can go on to do whatever it is your heart desires. These are further discussed in the section on the main page entitled "Internships and Advanced Positions." Now that seems like a lot of testing and maybe a little too much like a school- don't worry, we're not a real school after all. The MA is meant to be taken over a period of months, possibly a year, so its not like you're rushed to do anything at all. In fact, you can take your sweet time should you decide to move up by taking these test. In the meantime, you can check out more detailed descriptions below: enjoy!

The Senior Aviator's Exam

So, you've made it through BT and have had some time to revel in the glory that is your own squadron. What next? I've taken down one world, so a system remains, then a galaxy and finally the universe! Kind of. Now that you are a member of a flight in a squadron of a wing you realize you have assignments and are pretty busy. Assuming you've managed to achieve the rank of PO2 and have been around for two months, you are eligible to take the Senior Aviator's Exam (SA). Before you take the SA, it's recommended you look over the information from Basic Training (BT) and then read through the course below.

"Flight Leader Training" is simply meant to inform you of the duties that one would have to carry out in becoming a Flight Lead.

Senior Aviator's Exam

To take the test below, you must be a PO2 or above and have been a member for two months (must be same day of month two months later).

Briefing

In order to receive the Senior Aviator's Certificate (=SA=) and a single promotion, you must pass the SAE (Senior Aviator's Exam), with at least 70 percent. If you manage to receive distinction (perfection), you will be allowed to add (=*SA*=) and will be rewarded with a double promotion as long as it falls no farther than Chief Petty Officer (CPO). However, if you fail, you will not be given your test back to correct your answers until you pass. You can not take the test again for a full week, but you can take it as many times as you like.

Responsibility

The rank of CPO will make you eligible for a Flight Lead position, so your pay will go from 5,000 ICs a month to 10,000. While that seems good incentive, you must also be prepared to undertake the responsibilities of the Flight Lead position so please consider and choose wisely. You may take the test by clicking on the link below. The best to you.
