Background History

Born to Cleggan and Jane Varl, lived alongside his twin brother Jack and older sister Aiko in a relatively safe neighborhood that was off in the wilderness. While his sister and mother often stayed at home or worked at the local academy, Jack and John often followed and helped their father who worked as an Electrical Engineer at a Suwantek subsidiary and repair facility. Quite often, despite their fathers best intentions and pleas for them not to, the twins were called to scour access ports/tunnels around the facility to clear out pests and other local wildlife, due to their smaller frames of body which allowed them to gain access to hard to reach areas.

At the age of 14, John was recruited per tradition into the systems military forces. Due to this, John spent the next several years in his life as a soldier of his homeworld’s army, the Rhyzan Armored Fists. Participating in various drills and exercises, including combat operations, he was able to increase his proficiency in the use of various small arms, as well as enhancing his environmental perception abilities and mental prowress. At the age of 22, after graduating with his twin brother at the local Imperial Engineering Academy, the twins decided to use their skills for a good cause and ended up joining the Vast Empire Military. While John went to applying his more destructive talents as a Stormtrooper, his brother went on and joined the Imperial Corps of Engineers. Recently John has once again transferred over to the Vast Empire’s Navy from the Stormtrooper Corps.

Character's Personality =

Outside of friends, family, and fellow brothers in arms John tends to come off as cold and filled with morbid humor due to his former lifestyle. However, once he has warmed up to a particular person/group, he tends to open up a bit more, and generally acts like a loveable, yet, crazy idiot. Although his first answer to problems is along the lines of 'let's blow it up' or 'shoot first, ask questions later', John loves a good challenge and will quite readily step up without being asked.

Due to his time spent with the Armored Fists, John's once rash and often excitable nature in combat was tempered into a more calm and collected sort, despite his penchant for sarcasm or more audacious commentary
