Menestheus-class Light Cruiser
The Menestheus-class Light Cruiser is a heavy conversion of the Arquitens-class Light Cruiser as an amenities craft. While still maintaining much of its armament, it is also equipped as a mobile armed forces entertainment venue.

Background[edit]
The Menestheus-class Light Cruiser is designed as a mobile entertainment center, equipped with a small arena suitable for live performances or sporting events. It also has a primary function as a mobile brewery. This hails back to the Republic Navy's ability to provide more than mere martial services to the members of the fleet.
Characteristics[edit]
The Menestheus-class cruiser is capable of independent operations and can defend itself, however it trades the standard Arquitens starfighter complement and heavy cannon for delivery craft and ion cannon, respectively. Internally, much crew and weapons space have been turned over to account for a significant brewery and storage system for said product.
Additionally, multiple decks have been turned into convertible performance space for live theater, sports, or comedy events. Spacers or ground forces can be shuttled aboard the craft and given leave aboard ship to spend R&R when a friendly or hospitable world is not nearby.
Armament[edit]
History[edit]
The HMS Menestheus was a British minelaying ocean liner repurposed as an "amenity ship", repainted from its battle colors and having a movie theater, canteen, and brewery put aboard. It would then move around the fleet as an entertainment vessel. More can be found here.
