The Morningstar-D is a starfighter class of reknown during the Clone Wars as an independent fighter class and was used in many planetary fleets as well as inadvertently ending up as the core starfighter for many pirate fleets.
Characteristics[edit]
The Imperial Center model adds armor, weaponry, and thrust to allow the ship frame to compete with more model designs. The Morningstar-D is a combination of dogfighting and capital ship attack profiles.
Variants[edit]
There were at least three known variants of the MorningStar-D: the simple and outdated Morningstar-A, the dogfighting MorningStar-B and anti-ship assault fighter MorningStar-C.
Imperial Etchik Shipyards produces the -B and -C models through licensing and the -D as a derivative design.
