May God have mercy on my enemies, because I wont.

—General George Patton

Norith Skarr is an attentive and focused young man. As Squad Leader of Eclipse, he feels responsible for the safety of his squad and will do what he can to get them home safely. Skarr is initially a soldier at heart, having no will for another career. Although lately, he has been displaying an interest for history. His free time now seems much shorter and is usually occupied with paperwork, gunplay, and the odd history book.

Bio[edit]

Appearance[edit]

Due to a strict training regimen, along with the countless amounts of missions Eclipse embarks on, Skarr is muscular and very healthy. His hair is shaved short, and he only allows his beard and mustache to grow to stubble before shaving it all down again. A scar he received when he was younger stretches from his left temple to his cheek. He is tall, but not overbearingly so. In his armor, he is an intimidating sight to both those who know him and his enemies. He has the appearance of a very fatherly man when around his squad and not in battle.

Uniform[edit]

Very rarely does Eclipse ever use personal equipment, but Skarr usually breaks protocol with his dual blasters. The twin DC-15s are holstered at the small of his back. When allowed the use of personal weapons, Skarr will most often pick the M5 Blaster rifle, the DE-10 pistol, his twin blasters, and the FSK-7 combat knife. His armor of choice is the new SCOPE armor variants. The suits of clonetrooper armor he uses is on display at his house, more collector's items than anything else. The rest of his arsenal is stashed safely at the Eclipse barracks.

Personality[edit]

  • A loyal man to both the Empire and his squad mates
  • Has a brand of sarcastic humor in dangerous situations
  • Tries his best to be a fair leader
  • Skarr is usually able to adapt to any situation, except for the most desperate
  • Like everyone else, Skarr hates mess hall food
  • One of Skarr's biggest pet peeves are people who disobey orders
  • Skarr trusts anyone who has his back

History[edit]

Childhood[edit]

Norith Skarr was born in 12 BBY to Jakob and Vera Skarr. He was born in a hospital on the planet Corellia. His birth occurred seven years after the Empire came to be. The Empire was the first government he had known. His family was Imperial loyalists, raising him to be the same way. Jakob and Vera were the CEOs of the Corellian Star Merchant Company. The Skarr family was moderately wealthy and was able to put Norith in some of the best schools. His parents wanted him to take their place as CEO once he was old enough. Norith was happy to take their place; the CSMC helped the Empire move materials all the time. It was a peaceful time in the Empire and Norith loved the condition of living.

The Skarr family lived peacefully until the galaxy was shocked in 2 BBY. A group of rebels had formed an alliance, intent on rending the Empire apart. Jakob began hiring armed fighters to escort his cargos as the Rebels began hitting supply lines. The Skarr family lived mostly unharmed during this time, due to Corellia being so close to the Core.

Norith Skarr was 12 years old when the Death Star blew up. When news reached Norith of the Rebel victory, as much as the Empire tried to censor the fact, he decided to become a soldier for the Empire. He was young and embroiled in the propaganda of the Empire. All of the propaganda had lead Norith to believe that the stormtroopers of the Empire were invincible. And while they were an elite force to be reckoned with, they could still be killed. Norith did not consider that until later in life.

Despite trying to discourage him from the life of a stormtrooper, Norith’s parents soon relented and supported him for it. For two years, Skarr continued to study at the schools he had been going to for years.

Teen Years[edit]

At age 14, Norith joined the Imperial Academy on Corellia. He learned many of the skills needed to be a soldier of the Empire. The Academy taught him higher education as well. But he was no officially in training just yet. He got into his first fight at the Academy. The fight was the cause of his scar. Instead of choosing to have it removed, he decided to keep it as a remembrance of what happened when you lost discipline. Two weeks before Norith turned 15, tragedy shook the Skarr family. Jakob and Vera died of an unknown and incurable disease. In their will, Norith’s parents requested that most of CSMC be donated to several different charities. Norith received a small part of the money. The young teen was now alone, with no other family. Instead of submitting to an orphanage, Skarr refuse and fled from Corellia. He left the Imperial Academy behind, intent on one day returning. He fled to Anaxes to find a friend of his father’s.

The man’s name was Aron Jenkins, and he was the CEO of Sailys Merchant Company. Aron told Norith that he would be safe and that he could give Skarr a job as a pilot for one of his transport. Norith’s love of flying made him say yes.

A year went by as Skarr was still flying for Sailys, when the Empire fell. Skarr was devastated when he heard of the Emperor’s death. The Rebel Alliance had won. But there was still a chance, for the Empire had merely splintered into many different Imperial factions. The Imperial Remnant of Bastion was seen as the best. Skarr decided it was for the Remnant he would fight. He left Sailys, intent on finding himself a mentor.

The Royal Army[edit]

After some searching on Bastion, Skarr found a mentor. His name was Jared Nolac. Nolac was a former stormtrooper before the Galactic Empire fell. When Skarr found him, he told Skarr that he still supported the Galactic Empire instead of the Imperial Remnant. Nolac also confided in Skarr that he was building a small army of young hopefuls. He weaved a tale that this ‘Royal Army’ would storm Coruscant and take it back for the Empire.

He was trained by Nolac and some of the older members of the Royal Army. Skarr learned a lot from them. In time, he proved to be an ample soldier. The next year was spent in intense training. Months after Skarr turned seventeen; Nolac began taking Skarr on raids with the rest of the Royal Army. The raids were true tests of Skarr’s skills. They were all dangerous, most of them involving the stealing of weapons and equipment. It would sometimes involve the capture of ships as well.

Two more years would pass before Skarr heard of Nolac’s real intentions. He had been making a speech to his Royal Army, which had been gaining more and more recruits to their cause, when it was revealed that Nolac really did not want to bring about the Old Empire again, but one of his own make. The Red Empire, he called it, red for the blood of his enemies. Skarr was revolted at the idea. But he chose not to voice his concerns.

The Fall of Jared Nolac[edit]

Nolac’s final plan was to storm Coruscant and take the Senate by force. His Royal Army was able to slip past the defenses of the New Republic, which were still poor at the time. Once on the ground, the Royal Army unleashed hell, but Skarr bided his time. When victory was near for Nolac, Skarr attacked. The fight between Skarr and Nolac took place on the steps of the Senate building. They battled and battled, with fists and combat knives. The battle was rough and harsh, as Nolac’s army continued to fight the forces of the New Republic. It ended with Nolac’s throat being slit. In the confusion, Skarr was able to escape Coruscant. The battle ended soon after with the New Republic as the victors. Galactic Exploration

The next three years were what was possibly the most peaceful years of Skarr’s life. He took the ship he had stolen from Nolac and explored the galaxy. He took the time to visit Felucia, Kuat, Raxus Prime, Abragado Rae, Utapau, and many other worlds. But he never went back to Corellia. He could not stand to go back. Not while he stood the chance of running into his friends. He was guilty for having run away after his parents had left. Skarr tried his best not to dwell upon that, instead he lost himself in his explorations. This allowed him to learn many things, skills that he would not need for battle. But they were skills, nonetheless.

A New Family[edit]

In the middle of his third year when Skarr turned 22 years old, he made his way to Tadath. He had heard of the Vast Empire and wished to enlist. He was sent to the Academy and placed under the command of Captain Aeos. The training was tough, but Nolac had more than prepared Skarr for the demands of the training. He was only in the Academy for a month before he was passed and promoted.

Private First Class Norith Skarr was placed in RAIDERS squad under the command of Sergeant Major Ayme “Havock” Katash. He took a liking to RAIDERS and began to consider them as his new family. The squad welcomed him warmly enough, even though they happened to be in the middle of a mission when they met. After the mission, Skarr was awarded with a promotion to Lance Corporal.

For the next few months, Skarr went with RAIDERS on their missions. It seemed that at all times that more people would leave and more would take their place. Skarr grew increasingly uncomfortable as the people he knew left and ones that he did not know came. After one particularly dangerous mission, Skarr was promoted to Corporal. Soon the barracks became more and more bare as Aeos was promoted to Squad Leader of Wraith Squad and Havock was promoted to Platoon Leader. Tanus Solvona stepped in as SL for RAIDERS squad, just in time for the platoon mission. Wildcard Platoon was sent to Sump, in an attempt to save Rogueboy and captured engineers. Skarr was paired up with Iron Horse Squad, with most of RAIDERS on leave. Iron Horse and RAIDERS were given the objectives of saving Rogue and establishing contact with Sam, who was in orbit with reinforcements.

After establishing contact with Sam, Sam and Apex Squad landed on Sump. Enemy soldiers immediately surrounded Apex Squad. All of Wildcard was sent to help Apex Squad. They arrived in time to fight back the enemy, but not before Skarr was wounded. The enemy retreated and Wildcard Platoon boarded the transport away from Sump. The end of the platoon mission resulted in Skarr’s promotion to Sergeant and Assistant Squad Leader of RAIDERS.

Arkanis[edit]

It was almost a few days after the campaign ended that Havock became the squad leader of RAIDERS once again. The day after that, Skarr and Brightstar were sent to Arkanis to investigate rumors of a secret armory created by the Pentastar Alignment. Skarr and Bright had gone separate ways, searching for leads. A full week passed as Skarr searched for news of the armory. He found his proof and contacted RAIDERS. The RAIDERS arrived on the planet and rendezvoused with Skarr, with news that Bright was missing. They found Bright, thankfully, but found that she had amnesia and did not remember anyone on the squad. They continued onto their objective and the armory was destroyed.

Shatterpoint[edit]

Another platoon wide mission awaited the Vast Empire's Elite Stormtrooper Corps. Skarr went out on this mission a RAIDERS and came back as an Eclipse. During battle, Havock had received a message making Skarr active squad leader of Eclipse Squad, marking the reopening of Storm Platoon. With a new squad, Skarr fought with RAIDERS towards the Republic base in the caverns of Agea. This marked Skarr's first time seeing a Jedi as well. He faced the Jedi with bravery only to be swatted away like a fly.

The Red Exodus[edit]

It was Skarr's first entire mission as Squad Leader of Eclipse. Blackjack was transferred to Storm Platoon and Sovakas Ron was announced as the Platoon Commander. The mission was called as a Platoon mission. The enemies were called Blood Saints, they were former Vast Empire troopers. Soldiers that had defected from the VE. Blackjack's mission was to retrieve a informant. Eclipse Squad was ordered to deprive the Blood Saints of their reinforcements to make Blackjacks' jobs easier. It was the job of Eclipse to destroy the Blood Saints' safehouses. During the mission, Taranis Crasthian, a friend of Skarr's, joined Eclipse. The mission delivered a big shock to Norith Skarr. The supposed leader of the Blood Saints was none other than his dead mentor, Jared Nolac. Skarr gave chase to Nolac, but his mentor escaped anyway.

Thyveck[edit]

To Skarr, Thyveck was one word. Hell. For sixth months, the Vast Empire struggled to gain control of Thyveck. The mission even resulted in the alienation of Phoenix Company from the rest of the army. With supplies running low, Phoenix Company tried as hard as they could to take Bastion, the main base on Thyveck. The battle resulted in the destruction of Bastion and the surrender of Phoenix Company. In this time, Skarr was wounded and captured.

A follow up mission was conducted by Lancer, an ARC trooper, who was supposed to extract Eclipse Squad from Thyveck. When they decided to stay behind to rescue Skarr, Lancer stayed with them. In the end, Eclipse squad successfully recovered Skarr from a New Republic medical frigate and escaped on one of their smaller transports. This mission awarded Skarr with several medals and a promotion to First Sergeant.

Missions, Missions, Mission[edit]

After Thyveck, Skarr was given some time to heal. Soon after his wounds were healed though, he was thrown back on the field. He took these challenges in stride performing to the best of his abilities and watched over his squad, like a father watches over his kids. During these missions he was promoted from First Sergeant through to Sergeant Major.

The Guardian[edit]

(Personal Story Still in Progress)

A Crowning Achievement[edit]

After successfully storming Anteevy and routing the Blanchard organization, Skarr was awarded the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, his first officer rank. Skarr viewed this as his crowning achievement. He had done so much for the Vast Empire, and the Vast Empire had given him much back. The 2nd Lieutenant rank came with the Platoon Commander position. Skarr’s family had gotten much bigger as he was given command of the whole of Wildcard Platoon. This also meant more paperwork for him, further increasing his ire. Skarr has remained ever loyal to the Vast Empire and continues to serve, embarking on new missions and commanding the platoon. But he is still haunted by Jared Nolac, the ghost of his past. After two encounters, Skarr is sure that their paths will cross again.
