P4 Sniper

Troopers will be instructed in the nuances of sniping psychology and skills, ranging from taking out high-priority targets to the implementation of combined skills in the prerequisites.

Training Regime/Story Requirements

Snipers are some of the deadliest individuals on any battlefield. A trained sniper is one of the most efficient weapons that any commander can deploy, as there are records of lone sniper teams inflicting up to 70% casualties on much larger enemy forces. A sniper, properly armed and positioned, is nearly impossible to detect, and is brutally accurate in his lethality. A sniper is also a valuable source of intelligence on the battlefield, able to infiltrate enemy lines deeper than even the most skilled recon scout is able to achieve and able to defend himself infinitely better. His combat effectiveness, combined with the psychological effect that a sniper has on any body of troops, truly make the sniper a force to be reckoned with.

Three two thousand word stories focusing on the skills learned; possible stories, though not limited to:

• removal of an enemy commander.
• 'sniper battle' (one sniper/spotter team or solo sniper against an equal force)
• a battle, and use of the sniper in his various roles as both scout and sharpshooter.
