The Pincer is the Stormtrooper Corps' fast pursuit craft. Ably armed and capable of keeping up with most craft at sublight speeds, it is used in quick boarding operations as well as pursuit and capture of small freighters and transports.
General Characteristics[edit]
The Light Corvette was designed by Rendili StarDrive to counter ships flown by smugglers who have modified their craft beyond legal specifications and have reckless tendencies. The Light Corvette is fast, nimble, durable, has excellent weapons and shields and its also good at its job. With no surprise, these vessels are high in demand as shadowport knockoffs for criminals. Pirates have been known to use these ships; though the majority remain in Imperial or planetary authority hands.
Vast Empire History[edit]
The Pincer was purchased prior to Chapter 8 as an escort/pursuit craft. It is alternately used in special operations missions. Given it's ability to latch onto a craft and board via a contained boarding module that can be closed off from the rest of the ship, it allows for safe offensive boarding operations.
Recently, a regular army unit has been assigned for duties with the Pincer. While not stationed aboard the craft, they are tasked to the ship if mission orders require.
