Service Ribbons

These are awards relating to one’s service to the VEN.

Naval Service Ribbon [HNS][1NS][2NS][3NS][4NS][5NS][6NS][7NS][8NS],

This ribbon is awarded to members whom provide dedicated service to the navy, awarded first at 6 months, one year, two years, and so forth from the member's join date. Each higher tier ribbon replaces the former.

Naval ‘E’ Ribbon [E],

This award is given to the member that exhibits profound effort in all things Vast Empire Navy, be it story posts, wiki work, ambassadorship, or any combination of actions. This ribbon can be won multiple times. Any and all recommendations for this decoration must include an Action Report.

Naval Achievement Ribbon [NAR],

This award is the basic NON-COMBAT merit award in the Vast Empire Navy. It may be awarded for contributions to administration, competition creation, and/or any other NON-COMBAT related activities. This ribbon can be won multiple times. Any and all recommendations for this decoration must include an Action Report.

Combat Achievement Ribbon [CAR],

This decoration is awarded for exemplary feats on the field of battle. It may be awarded for fighter, capital ship, or hand to hand COMBAT related activities. This ribbon can be won multiple times. Any and all recommendations for this decoration must include an Action Report.

Long Service Medal [LSM],

The Long Service Medal is awarded to members that have been active in the Vast Empire for a period longer than two years. Proof of date of enlistment is required to receive this medal. No gap of more than three (3) months may be allowed to receive this medal. AWOL's reset the service time to zero and time is accumulated from the date of reinstatement.

Mentioned in Dispatches [MiD],

A Mention in Dispatches is given to any member for whatever reason their commanding officer may feel necessary. It may be given whenever the necessary for whatever reason.
