Galactic Empire

After the collapse of the Galactic Empire, many planets tried to get their hands on starfighters to protect themselves and their territories from pirates and warlords.

Characteristics[edit]

This TIE was created on a retooled Sienar TIE production line and serves now as their main anti-pirate fighter.

The Archer´s arsenal is based on two missile launcher in the port and starboard fuselage with a big magazine housing 15 missiles per launcher. Two standard TIE L-s1 laser cannons complete the weapons compliment.

Protection is granted by a shield generator of about the same capacity of a X-Wing, the armor is rather humble.

Easy maintenance and pilotable by any TIE pilot makes the Archer popular for former imperial worlds in the area. It can even fit in the TIE docking clamps of starships, as the fighter comes without a hyper drive on it´s own; the main fuselage offers both the room and energy reserves to equip a class 1.5 hyperdrive.

Meant for short range, the cockpit is astoundingly roomy, allowing the pilot to feel comfortable on longer patrols and can hold a 7 day supply and an astromech Droid, included in foreseeing the upgrade with a hyperdrive.

Origins[edit]

The TIE/ar Archer is the creation of Adam Kop, who designed the ship from mock-up to final graphic. Some statistical elements are his, as defined on his DeviantArt page. Item use permission has been requested and granted by the artist.
