Situation: The situation is the same as for the High Yo-Yo maneuver. This is a modified High Yo-Yo and will often yield better results, especially if you have a considerable speed advantage.
Maneuver:
- Pull up the aircraft's nose to gain altitude (1).
- Instead of turning in the same direction as your opponent, perform a Split-S in the opposite direction (2).
- Dive back toward your opponent (3).
- Level out and turn with the enemy. You should be in good firing position (4).
Roll away from your opponent; then drop in behind him for a gun or missile shot.
