The Weekkata Clan

History

The Weekkata Jawa Clan has for countless generations scoured the sun-baked sands of the Jundland Wastes, braving Tuskens, Krayt Dragons and other, even worse predators in order to comb the sands for whatever scrap and salvage they could find, to sell and fund even more dangerous expeditions into the desert. Life was short and harsh for a Jawa of the Weekkata Clan - that was, until they joined a business venture with Flamingo The Hutt.

Turning from a disparate tribe into an organized crime ring and finally into a legitimate business, the Weekkata Clan has plied their trade throughout the Outer Rim, and eventually came into the employ of the 50th Vast Imperial Starfighter Squadron as pit crew. Life is good for a Jawa of the Weekkata clan now - the food is free (and good), they have first looks at the latest military hardware, and so long as they don't take anything the ships need to run (and don't get caught taking things it doesn't), they are unlikely to be beaten up.

Morale is high amongst the Weekkata clan, and they find themselves saddled with a growing feeling of loyalty to both the squadron that they now serve, and the ship they now live on. Though they are still dressed in hooded robes (now in Imperial grey) and many of them are unable to pronounce Galactic Basic, they are Imperial to the core.
