The Government of Lianna is run by the Chancellor, who in turn can be vetoed by the Royal Parliament (the House of Lords and the Chamber of Earls) and the Parliament (the Senate and the House of Representatives). The map is broken down into states, which are run by state Governors or Dukes, a Board of Governors or Lord Council, and a state legislature and royal parliament. Each state is broken into counties and the counties each have an executive, and then further into baronies.

Leadership[edit]

Monarch[edit]

The Monarch of Lianna is a person that was born into the Royal line of monarchs and then takes the role of monarch after his/her parent who is the monarch dies. The monarch is the Head of State, and has the ability to call elections, ask someone to form a government, and call marshal law.

Chancellor[edit]

The Chancellor of Lianna is elected from either parliament or the House of Lords, and the nominee with the majority of the votes in both the parliament and the House of Lords wins, and is almost always asked to form a government. The Chancellor answers to the Parliament of Lianna and is aided by the executive branch of Lianna. The Chancellor's residence is located in Lianna City on a fifteen acre plot of land with many different structures on it. The Chancellor is the Head of Government.

Executive Branch[edit]

The Executive Branch of Lianna has many different offices in it. The Executive Branch aids the Chancellor in his work and also each member runs their own departments.

Privy Council[edit]

The Privy Council of Lianna is an advising body formed of former Ministers, Secretaries, and Chancellors and advises the Chancellor constantly.

Royal Parliament[edit]

The Royal Parliament is a series of placed or hereditary peers who can hold the rank of Archduke, Grand Duke, Duke, Marquess, Viscount, Barons, and Baronets in the House of Lords, while the less populous branch, the Chamber of Earls, is made entirely of earls and a few honorable Dames. The Royal Parliament may veto any legislation by the Chancellor, and Chancellors and cabinet ministers may be elected from the Royal Parliament.

The House of Lords is the upper house of the Royal Parliament. The House of Lords is made up of Archduke, Grand Duke, Duke, Marquess, Viscount, Barons, and Baronets, almost all of whom inherited their titles, while a small majority were placed by the Chancellor. The title of any member of the House of Lords is "The Lord", such as "The Lord John." There are 750 members of the House of Lords.

The Chamber of Earls is the lower house of the Royal Parliament. Most of the members of the chamber are Earls, while some are Dames and a few of the Dukes are allowed to sit in both chambers. Sitting in the Chamber gives you the title of "The Earl", such as "The Earl John." There are 480 members of the Chamber of Earls.

Senate[edit]

The Senate of Lianna is composed to 500 men and women who are elected from their states (since there are 100 states, there are 5 senators form each state). The Senate's Speaker is John Trolloft, Senator from North Tenfold and a Conservative. The Senate is made up of 309 Conservatives and 191 Liberals and meets at the Lianna Parliament Building.

House of Representatives[edit]

The House of Representatives of Lianna is composed of 1,900 men and women elected from districts around the planet. All the districts have been set out by the legislature and occupy all populated areas of Lianna and all areas that have a diverse business structure. Each Representative is charged with keeping their district up to date and representing their opinions. The Speaker of the House is Donald Bacredi and the House meets in the Lianna Parliament Building.

Court[edit]

Supreme Court of Lianna[edit]

The Supreme Court of Lianna is composed of 10 elected judges and 5 placed judges. The five placed judges and picked by the Chancellor of Lianna and are confirmed by the Executive Branch. The Supreme Court is led by a Chief Supreme Justice of Lianna, and all other justices are called "Supreme Justice of Lianna". The current Chief Supreme Justice of Lianna that was elected by his peers on the court is Gary Rithelin.

Lianna Courts in States[edit]

Lianna has a federal court in each state which prosecutes all federal crimes such as treason, etc. The courts each have a Chief Justice and a panel of five other judges.

Super States[edit]

A Super State is five or more states totaling over 2.5 Million Square Kilometers that sign a State Combination Treaty (there are only three Super States) and go through a majority of testing by the Lianna Federal Government. When the Treaty is signed by all the Governors, Board of Governors, and the Chancellor of Lianna, then it goes into law and the states name is chosen by the current Chancellor.

Governor General[edit]

The Governor General is the elected leader of a Super State and resides in the capital of the super state. He has power to veto any state legislatures.

Legislature[edit]

The Super State has no legislature, instead, the states inside the super state each have their own legislature.

Current Super States[edit]

  • Devonshire — Capital is the city of Washington and Governor General is Albert Shanzie. The Duke of Devonshire is the current ceremonial head of Devonshire.
  • Westfold — Capital is the metro area of Vancouver Central and the Governor General is Qui Quinshiwandi.
  • Osigath — Capital is the city of Minatir and the Governor General is Madeline Scheer.

States[edit]

Governor[edit]

Each state of Lianna has a Governor. The Governor is elected by his or her state and resides in the governor's mansion. The governor appoints vacancies in the legislature of their states, appoints to the Board of Governors, and helps balance out the budget of the state. The governor is also commander in chief of his or her state's military.

Board of Governors[edit]

The Board of Governors is the residing council of a governship of Lianna. The Board of Governors is placed by the governor and helps advise the governor on important matters regarding the state.

Legislature[edit]

Each State Legislature has a Senate and a House of Representatives, and if they have high enough population the House of Representatives will be replaced by the House of Assembly.

Senate[edit]

Each state has a fixed amount of members of the Senate, which is 100 senators. The senators help the governor and the people of their states and can also veto bills if necessary.

House of Representatives[edit]

Each House of Representatives has 560 members and do the same duties as the Senate, but is bigger and therefore usually has a slower time at doing many different things.

House of Assembly[edit]

The House of Assembly is if a state has a population of seventy million or more souls then they have a House of Assembly, which is a mimic of the House of Representatives but only with 500 Assemblymen each.

Supreme Court[edit]

Each state has a Supreme Court consisting of a Chief Justice and a fifteen panel judge circuit. All of these men and women are elected by their own state.

Counties[edit]

Each County has an executive and an executive council.

Baron[edit]

The Baron of the county is the commander in chief of all police operations in their county and leads everyone in the county and appoints members to the county council, who are mainly baronets. Most of the time, the baron is a hereditary peer that sits in the House of Lords.

County Council[edit]

The County Council is a council appointed by the executive of the county and helps the executive of the county on advisory matters.

Cities[edit]

Each city has a some sort of leader (most of the time a mayor) and a city representation forum if large enough.

Lord President of Council[edit]

The Lord President of Council is an advisor from the House of Lords or Chamber of Earls who usually is reigning from the city they are Lord President of. They have the same constitutional powers as a mayor, but are not elected and instead serve on a city council.

Mayor[edit]

A Mayor of a city—every single city has one—is an official elected by his city to serve them as the citys leader. A mayor can grant pardons to crimes that happened inside the city.

City Representation Forum[edit]

If the city has a population of 200,000 or more then they will have a City Representation Forum which splits the city up into two wings. The first is the Bureau and it elects a Bureau Chief and five Bureau Senators. The Bureau Chief represents the people in the Chief Forum and the Bureau Senators represent the people in the Senator Forum. The second is the Assembly, and they elect 100 men to be Assemblymen and represent the city in disputes across the planet.
