He died, so what? Everyone dies sometime. You'll die, too. The sooner you stop caring, the sooner death'll stop hurting, kid.

Biography[edit]

Appearance[edit]

Talanis cuts a heroic, distinguished figure, just as any noble-born officer from Eradiu should. He's been the 'poster boy' for the 128th Squadron for years, although referring to him by the title of 'boy' is likely to result in a good backhand slap and a demand for a duel to first blood - an old practise that Talanis still honours, and he has a very ornate vibrosword purely for duelling. With his greying temples, neatly trimmed facial hair and strong, clean-cut profile, Talanis is the very image of the distinguished Imperial Officer from the Galactic Civil War.

Of the members of the 128th, Talanis is the one whom spends the most effort on his physical appearance, and it shows - he firmly believes that appearances are important and one must be presentable at all times; a habit left over from his time amongst the nobility of his homeworld and reinforced by his decade of service as an Imperial Officer. He's been accused of being vain more than once before, but he does not do it for himself - he feels duty-bound to look his best. For him, it's just another responsibility of command.

Personality[edit]

Educated in the finest Eradiu academies and a graduate of the prestigious Prefsbelt Fleet Academy, it is of little surprise that everything about the man's appearance and manner is absolutely impeccable. He has the subtle parry and riposte of high political conversation down pat, he's got the confident, if slightly arrogant air and damned if he doesn't have the stiff upper lip too. The man simply reeks of nobility, and it is almost impossible to see past the veneer of carefully calculated perfection that he shrouds himself in. Like any good politician, he has the ultimate poker face.

However, to him, these things are just a uniform, something that, as a member of the upper classes and an Imperial Officer, he must wear just as surely as he must wear his perfectly tailored uniform. It isn't whom he is at all, although only those whom have known him for an extended period of time know this. Under all the trappings of office, he is a thrill-seeker, an adrenaline junkie whom loves to feel the adrenaline flowing through his veins and the thrill of the hunt more than anything else in the whole world - and this is why he gave up a promising career as a Fleet Officer to become an Imperial Fighter Pilot.

He is a big game hunter in his free time, and has stalked vicious Rancors, terrifying Krayt Dragons and even slain a fabled Terantek with nothing but his duelling vibrosword and his trusty slugthrower rifle. The man is a remarkable hunter and applies every bit of knowledge he has learned over the years into his fighting behind the cockpit. He tends to view those around him as lesser to him, and the only member of the 128th he really respects is Seeker himself. He considers Clint to be nothing but a brute, and frankly, he has no idea what to think of the absent-minded Cloak.
