Officer Candidate

When first promoted into the Officer ranks, a member is temporarily named an Officer Candidate, until they successfully complete the Field Officer Candidate Exam.
"Officer Candidate" is a primarily OOC term for a provisional rank which bears many different names, IC, including Cadet, Midshipman, and Acting Ensign.
The ID Line tag for this rank is: OCAN
Position[edit]
Any member holding the provisional rank of Officer Candidate ranks directly above an Chief Warrant Officer and directly below an Ensign.
