INTERVIEW WITH REAR ADMIRAL SITHSPAWN

Our tri-monthly interview for the last part of June will be with the resplendent Rear Admiral Sithspawn, the current Executive Officer (second-in-command) of the Vast Empire Navy and a notable figure from the golden days of the Vast Empire intelligence community.
Interviewer: Now, who are you and what do you do?
Rear Admiral Sithspawn: I'm Jon, 18 and from Michigan. I serve as your Naval Executive Officer/VE Pimp.
Interviewer: What is your profession?
Rear Admiral Sithspawn: My current profession is Systems Administrator/Technical Support at an ISP.
Interviewer: What is your favorite Star Wars film, actor, actress, character, novel and computer game?
Rear Admiral Sithspawn: My favorite Star Wars flick is the Empire Strikes Back, simply because of all the ground fighting scenes. My favorite actor is James Earl Jones, i.e., the voice of Darth Vader. Actress has to be Natalie Portman [drools]. Favorite character is Boba Fett. Favorite novel would be "Tales of the Empire", and computer game is Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II.
Interviewer: What is the name and status of your character in the Vast Empire?
Rear Admiral Sithspawn: In the Vast Empire, you know me as Viktor von Cannabisia, alias Sithspawn. Currently a Rear Admiral, and serving Naval Executive Officer (XO).
Interviewer: How long have you been in the Vast Empire?
Rear Admiral Sithspawn: I've been in the Vast Empire . . . god, two years perhaps? I was recruited by former Naval Commander in Chief Reinthaler! (Heil Rein!)
Interviewer: What positions in the club have you held in the past?
Rear Admiral Sithspawn: Prior to being Naval Executive Officer [XO], I served various stints as Naval Minister of Propaganda and Enlightment, Naval Intelligence Officer, and Army Commander of Security. I held those for a looong time :P
Interviewer: Anything you want to mention about your duties as Naval Executive Officer?
Rear Admiral Sithspawn: Duties? I have duties? [blank look]
Interviewer: If you could change a single item in the Vast Empire, what would it be?
Rear Admiral Sithspawn: I would reinstate the Director of Intelligence position and make myself that. Why you ask? Because Security/Intel is what I do best.
Interviewer: How many individuals have you served under during your service to the Vast Empire?
Rear Admiral Sithspawn: I've served under many people. Perhaps the ones who have had the most effect on my career have been Majere, Flask, Crysus, Sesswanna (Casino buddy!), Rein, Niksavel, and Kadann. They've all made this experience worthwhile 10x!
Interviewer: Do you have any particular club memories that you wish to share?
Rear Admiral Sithspawn: When High General Sesswanna and I broke the house gambling at the Vast Empire casino ["Palpatine's Palace"]. When I booted former C-RG Coolguy during the Crimson Strike Fleet [CSF] days. When 'Tomcat' released his "VE Agenda" document designed to destroy our stronghold, and Majere, Flask, myself, and a small handful of others aborted his attempt.
Interviewer: What do you believe contributed the most to the rise of your career in the Vast Empire?
Rear Admiral Sithspawn: My high IRC activity assisted me to rise, as did my EH experience. That combined with a pyschotic mind full of good ideas helped, but so did all that work from Majere :)
Interviewer: Do you have any predictions regarding the future of the Vast Empire?
Rear Admiral Sithspawn: Ahead, I see dark times for the Vast Empire, but we shall pull through and arise on the wings of a Phoenix. Metaphorically speaking.
Interviewer: How do you hope to be remembered by Vast Empire members when your, eh, gone?
Rear Admiral Sithspawn: I hope to be remembered as the mysterious albeit fun loving guy who saved the universe . . . but don't we all? :)
Interviewer: Is there any particular game you are looking forward to playing in the future?
Rear Admiral Sithspawn: Definately Jedi Knight II. They have a lot of expectations to meet with that one. 1st Person shooters are always a very amusing game.
Interviewer: What are your thoughts on "The Phantom Menace"?
Rear Admiral Sithspawn: The Phantom Menace was a good "start" the series, it should have been released before A New Hope was, but, ah well. I did like the final battle, Qui-Jon and Obiwan vs. Darth Maul. One truely cowers at the developed fighting skills of the Sith. I think perhaps, I would have liked to see more spacefighting and saber battles than background, but that is just my outlook. :)
Interviewer: Do you see any problem with close friendships in the Vast Empire?
Rear Admiral Sithspawn: I see no problem with further associations and 'cliquing' inside the Vast Empire, nor romantic relationships. In a real scenario, you do have instances such as those, it's just life.
Interviewer: You seem abnormally cheerful, are you in love?
Rear Admiral Sithspawn: Am I in love? Perhaps. :)
Interviewer: Any advice for new members of the club?
Rear Admiral Sithspawn: My advice to the new guys: "Don't look at positions already available and aspire for them, look at what you can do for the Fleet, and aspire for that."
