INTERVIEW WITH GRAND MOFF KADANN

Our tri-monthly interview for the middle of June will be with the dashing Grand Moff Kadann, the current Executive Officer (second-in-command) of the Vast Empire as a whole, who has the ability to both command authority and be highly respected at the same time.
Interviewer: What is the name and rank of your Imperial character in the Vast Empire?
Grand Moff Kadann: Kadann; Grand Moff.
Interviewer: . . . and his status in the club?
Grand Moff Kadann: Executive Officer of the Vast Empire.
Interviewer: What is your favorite Star Wars movie, computer game and novel?
Grand Moff Kadann: It is hard to choose a favorite Star Wars film, they all have their good points. I guess one that I watch more than the others would have to be "Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back". This film gets into the force aspect more so than the other films, making the force even more mysterious and facinating. Plus it has a good light saber duel at the end. ;) I would definately have to say the my favorite game is Jedi Knight/MotS. As far as books go, I liked the Jedi Academy Trilogy.
Interviewer: How and when did you become a member of the Vast Empire?
Grand Moff Kadann: I was once a webmaster for a Star Wars fan site a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. I was recruited by Raptor into the Imperial Order Army. After a few months, we broke away from the Imperial Order and created the Vast Empire.
Interviewer: What prior positions did you hold in the Vast Empire before you were given the one you currently occupy?

Interviewer: You currently hold the postion as second-in-command of the overall club. What do your duties entail?
Grand Moff Kadann: I have quite a few duties to perform. I do a lot of development work for the Vast Empire web pages. That is probably my biggest duty. I come up with new ideas for the future development of the Vast Empire (along with the other High Council members), and discuss these ideas with the rest of the High Council. I also help Threeof4 with the daily runnings of the Vast Empire.
Interviewer: Which duties do you enjoy the most and which do you find boring or disagreeable?
Kadann: I enjoy all of my duties in the Vast Empire. I would have to say that I enjoy developing the applications the most.
Interivewer: If you were given the choice to occupy any other position in the club . . . which would it be?
Grand Moff Kadann: I would actually like to be just a normal enlisted trooper in a squad. That would probably be the most fun. You would get all the perks of being a member, but would just be playing games. ;)
Interviewer: Are there any skills which you believe may have contributed the most to your assent through the ranks?
Grand Moff Kadann: My development skills probably assisted me the most with my career in the Vast Empire. Being able to come up with new ideas for the club and implementing them.
Interviewer: Do you have any predictions for the future of the club as a whole?
Grand Moff Kadann: I believe we have structured the Vast Empire to become a great power in the Star Wars galaxy. We have some great members which will lead us into this new era. The more members we recruit, the more great leaders there will be. With all these new applications the club has and will be getting in the near future, there will be no stopping us.
Interviewer: Is there anything you hope to see improved regarding the club? Anything that should change or remain as is?
Grand Moff Kadann: I hope to see more people playing games in the future. This also includes RPG games. We have some great stories going in the Story ComNet, and I think those will keep going strong. Right now, we are developing a few applications for the VE to allow members to play games more easily. It will be easier to create and run tournaments/ladders.
Interviewer: Are you looking forward to any of the upcoming Star Wars games slated for 2002 release?
Grand Moff Kadann: Jedi Outcast! That will most likely be played by our Vast Empire Army and Dark Jedi Order. These new games coming out will create a lot more new recruits, so be ready!
Interviewer: Do you have any special advice for new members of the Vast Empire?
Grand Moff Kadann: Get yourself noticed. Talk with the Commanders of the VE. Those are the guys who have been through it all already. They will all have some advice as to what you can do to better your career in the VE. If you are motivated and have a will to do well, then you can't fail.
Interviewer: Last, but not least . . . what did you have for breaskfast?
Grand Moff Kadann: Cheerios.
